The original primary bathroom had adequate bones, but the fixtures, finishes, and overall character didn’t invite the kind of quiet luxury these homeowners deserved in their long-term home.
The challenge wasn’t structural; it was creative. How could we honor the existing footprint while elevating every element to reflect a more refined, personal aesthetic? Rather than a complete gut renovation, we focused our efforts where they’d have the greatest impact—swapping out builder-grade finishes for elevated materials and introducing architectural details that would transform the entire character of the space.

We slightly enlarged the shower to create a more spacious, spa-like experience. This modest expansion had an outsized effect on how the bathroom feels—no longer efficient but constrained, it now feels generously proportioned and genuinely luxurious. This kind of thoughtful modification exemplifies our design philosophy: sometimes the most impactful improvements come from listening to how homeowners actually live in their spaces.
Custom Cabinetry & Integrated Details
Custom cabinetry replaced the builder-grade vanity, providing both sculptural beauty and functional superiority. More than a storage solution, these pieces are architectural focal points—elevated by integrated automatic under-cabinet lighting that serves both practical and atmospheric purposes. The lighting eliminates harsh shadows and creates a warm, ambient glow that transforms the bathroom’s mood, especially during evening routines.

Polished nickel fixtures replace dated builder hardware, introducing a subtle sophistication that coordinates throughout the space. Marble countertops replace laminate, bringing natural variation, durability, and an inherent sense of luxury that no synthetic material can replicate. The classic white subway tile—installed in a striking, unexpected pattern—creates visual interest and depth while maintaining the timeless foundation the homeowners desired.
